A duplex on the coast

The climate and the incomparable light of the Mediterranean provide the houses located on the Costa del Sol with unmistakable and enviable characteristics. In addition to enjoying that intense and bright luminosity, many of them have magnificent views of the sea, the mountains or even spectacular golf courses. But, in order not to dazzle any of these aspects, its decoration should be taken care of as much as in homes that are not so fortunate.

That's why the owners of this duplex, located in Ventura del Mar -a beachfront development, very close to Puerto Banús- did not want to take a risk and entrusted this task to the Atmosphére Mediterranean Interiors team; a well-known marbellí decoration shop where, in addition to furniture and accessories for the house and the garden, they carry out integral interior design projects. On the ground floor were the living room with dining room, the kitchen, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The upper floor was reserved for the master bedroom, which has its own bathroom and a dressing room.

The house also has two great terraces Perfectly equipped to enjoy pleasant moments outdoors. Atmosphére Mediterranean Interiors decorators opted for the range of beige and sand to paint the walls of the whole house -Only in the master bedroom they opted for another color, a green grass off very fresh and bright-; on the floor, the cream marble tiles were combined with red trim. From this neutral base, the rooms were dressed with fabrics and upholsteries in white and stone tones, which were animated with strokes in more vivid colors, such as mauve and dark brown.

As for the furniture, pieces of intense tones alternated, which create a warm and natural effect, with lighter and white stripped ones, which sweeten the environments. These mixtures and contrasts are not only present in the furniture, but also played with different decorative styles. For example, in the living area a modern and current line was followed, with sober and refined designs; in the dining room he opted for a renewed classic taste; and for the kitchen cabinets in pickled wood, of rustic air were chosen. Success: despite this rich variety, a harmonious and balanced decoration was achieved.
